  1. Unemployment can be hard to cope with, especially if you've been out of work for a long time.
  2. Support services like Jobcentre Plus have a database of jobs that aims to find something that suits you.
  3. If you're out of work, it's important to register a claim for benefit support as soon as possible, or you could be overwhelmed by accommodation and other living costs.
  4. If you are looking for work, but unemployed or working less than 16 hours a week, you could claim Jobseekers Allowance - but you are unlikely to get this if you're under 18 years old.
  5. Schemes like the New Deal for Young People (aged 18-24) gives people claiming Jobseekers Allowance access to a personal adviser, whose job is to help you get back to work.
