Do you want to make music but not sure how to get that break into the industry?

A new talent search could be just what you're looking for. Not only will you get the chance to win your school some excellent, top-of-the-range musical equipment, you might also find yourself on the stage at Glastonbury.

What's it all about?

Bandwagon’s Sound Clash is a five month long music talent contest to encourage school and college students to participate in music and creative arts.

Students will get the chance to enter a battle of the bands competition, which if they win will see them playing at Glastonbury 2007 and getting a record deal with a leading independent label.

Rock school

A whole host of equipment and instruments are also up for grabs to the runners-up and for the best schools who take part.

Sound Clash wants to find the best musical talent across all schools in the UK. The competition is open to all students aged between 12-18 at secondary school or at college.

Who can enter?

Sound Clash is open to all bands and solo artists, across all kinds of music. If you're not the musical type yourself, you can still get involved by pushing your school's band and lending your support and give your school the promotion it needs.

All bands that enter will have the chance for their music to reach a whole new audience online.

If you're good enough, you could be visited by camera crews and have your gig filmed and shown on TV!

Other ways to get involved

If you're a wannabe journo who loves music, why not write a review on their favourite band, album or gig experience and have the review featured and posted on Bandwagon’s web site?

If you prefer to be behind the camera, there's the opportunity to bag a prize for your picture-taking skills for best music photography uploaded to the Sound Clash web site during the course of the competition.

Best of all, getting involved in Sound Clash is FREE for all schools and students.

How do I enter?

Potential musicians should get to the Sound Clash web site, sign up, create online profiles, and upload MP3s of your tracks to your artist profile page.

There's loads more details of how you can get involved, the prizes and info for your teachers on the Sound Clash site.
