5 Things u need2know

  1. Before you can learn to drive, you will need to apply for a provisional driving licence.
  2. You cannot learn to drive a car until you are 17 years old. However, you can drive a moped at 16.
  3. When applying for a licence you must tell the DVLA about any medical conditions or special needs that could affect your driving.
  4. The Government's Driving Standards Agency (DSA) strongly recommends learning to drive with a registered Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).
  5. Before taking a practical driving test, you'll need to pass a theory test which is a 2-part test conducted on a computer.
