YouTube?
Unless you’ve been living on another planet or hiding in a deep hole in the ground you will probably at least have heard of YouTube. YouTube is a video streaming web site that allows any user to upload and share videos with anyone else that visits the web site. There are many other websites that do the same thing such as Podshow, Myspace or Yahoo Video.
The channel
As well as uploading individual videos you can also create a YouTube channel. The need2know YouTube channel is updated regularly with all the videos created especially for our articles.
The videos feature short interviews with young people who have a story to tell. Recent films include interviews with a group of teenagers who set up a multi media web site called Spinebreakers, and a feature on another group who have been running StreetlifeFM on line radio station for the last 4 years. If you have an interesting story we could even come a film and interview you – just write and tell us about it.
Also on our channel are interviews with celebrities. Recently featured include various members of the cast of Hollyoaks, Lil' Chris, Togger from Grange Hill and Killa Kela the UK beatboxing don. Many more star interviews are also planned in the coming months.
Get involved
There are several ways you can get involved in the n2k YouTube channel.
- You can become a channel subscriber by simply clicking on subscribe.
- If you also have a YouTube channel you can add n2k as a friend.
- You can comment on our videos and send us emails with your stories or ideas
- You can also send us your videos via the channel and these could end up being featured on the n2k web site.
- If you really like some of our videos you can also link to them or embed them onto your own web site.
- We are always looking for funny or useful clips to embed into our articles - share the clips you find with us!
