There's more to producing a magazine than just writing articles!
Nang! Magazine
Nang! is an award winning youth lifestyle magazine. It’s sent out to a whole bunch of sixth forms, colleges and universities, so you may have seen it around. The teenage editorial team describes Nang! as, “made for the youth, by the youth.”
It takes a lot to produce a magazine. Frequent meetings take place to discuss themes, articles and angles. It’s all about what your target audience wants – will they want to read what you want to write about?
n2k visited the Nang! headquarters and found out exactly what it takes to make it all happen.

Singles
Alesha Dixon – The Boy Does Nothing
Alesha’s never looked hotter. Her new single is a dance number really similar to ‘Mambo No.5’ and it’s everything that a new single should be – catchy with fun and cheery lyrics. Sadly, despite that, it's definitely missing the raw and edgy feel of ‘Scandalous’ from her Misteeq days. (3/5)
Beyonce – If I Were a Boy
Everyone knows that Beyonce is as talented as she is ambitious. The bootilicious songstress now releases a new two disc album entitled ‘I am…Sasha Fierce’ which showcases her sultry powerful voice. But we have to ask, why this single? It’s dull and moany, and nearly put us to sleep once. We prefer her upbeat tunes.(2/5)
Films
James Bond: Quantum of Solace
Bond is back, and this time it’s personal. It begins where Casino Royale left off and the action starts from the off, with car chases and crashes a plenty.
Bond is stuck between getting revenge for the death of Vesper and stopping crazed businessmen, General Medrano and Dominic Green, (and his weird sidekick), from completing their dodgy domination of Bolivia.
David Craig does the cold-inside look well and he’s definitely darker and angrier than any other Bond we’ve seen. Olga Kurylenko is different from other Bond girls too, not only is she feisty and beautiful, but she’s got her own vendetta to settle – and she can pack a punch nearly as well as Bond himself.
Boss M doesn’t know whether she can trust Bond anymore. When she fires him, he decides to go on his own crazed rampage, travelling around the world with a fake passport and credit card. Tut tut.
The stunts reach a new level too – giving off a real sense of danger. We’ve never seen people flip and bob through rooftops, glass ceilings, car and boats like these characters. You’ll be gripped to your seats. (4/5)

Underage christmas event
You don’t have to wait until 2009 for the next Underage Festival because it’s coming back for Christmas! Bands such as Metronomy, Dan Le Sac, Tommy Sparks and more will take the stage at The Scala on 20th December. Tell your parents not to worry because the event begins at 12pm and finishes at 6.30pm, so you’ll probably be home for a late dinner. Remember though, it’s strictly under 18s.
