- There's lots of financial help available if you need it such as student loans and grants, EMA and some universities offer financial aid that you don't have to pay back.
- Managing a student account is simple as long as you keep an eye on your spending.
- Banks offer new customers free tickets to gigs, CDs, free discount rail cards and electronics.
- Once you've graduated, your bank will be keen to convert your overdraft into a repayable loan and may charge you interest until it is paid off.
- The National Union of Students (NUS) offers student discounts of 10 - 20 per cent in high street stores and restaurants.
