5 Things u need2know

  1. Taking a course at a higher education college or university can often provide you with some life changing experiences.
  2. Higher education courses are generally above the standard of A Levels or National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3. They include Higher National Diplomas, Foundation Degrees, ordinary and honours degree courses and postgraduate courses.
  3. When searching for a course, find out what will give you a head start when trying to get a foothold in your chosen career.
  4. You will need to decide if you are willing to travel or relocate to a university town. While some people prefer a distance-learning course, others prefer to travel and learn at the same time.
  5. The Universities Central Admissions Service (or UCAS) enables UK students to apply for full-time courses around the country. For part-time courses, contact the college or university direct.
