5 Things u need2know

  1. People now take part in far less physical activity than they used to.
  2. Try to exercise for 30 minutes at least five days a week. Or at least go for a brisk walk.
  3. Exercise can be fun. Ask a friend to join you and bring along some music. It reduces stress, keeps your weight in control and lifts your mood for the day by releasing the 'happy' hormone endorphin.
  4. If you don't like exercise then take up an active hobby, like football or rugby. You'll have so much fun you won't even realise you're exercising and it can improve your social life.
  5. Young people should eat a well balanced diet with a wide variety of foods.
