  2. Changes in farming practices since 1945 have been a factor in the loss or decline of certain native animals and plants.
  3. Humans can cause disturbance and pollution. Try to reduce this by taking your litter home and keeping to paths.
  4. If you're out in the countryside, you should always follow the Countryside Code.
  5. Your local council or Wildlife Trust can tell you about conservation projects in your area.
